SUMMER PROGRAMMES

Practical information

As DMU has a partnership with Rennes School of Business, students are not required to pay the tuition fees for the summer school. However, they will need to pay for accommodation (estimated £500-600) and travel to France (£250).

DMU Global Funding

Students that successfully apply for this opportunity will qualify for a special DMU Global Summer School bursary of £500. The estimated cost to students for this opportunity is just £350.

Cultural Activities

In addition to the academic engagements and classroom activities, students attending the Rennes School of Business Summer Programme will also have the opportunity to experience a range of cultural events. Alongside other international students attending the Summer Programme, there is a planned company visit to complement learning with a real-life experience at a French Business. In addition, participants will be invited to a welcome and farewell dinner with other attendees and also have the opportunity to join a guided tour of Rennes.

While staying in Rennes, there will also be opportunities to explore this vibrant student city independently. There’s an extensive collection of Fine Arts and antiquities spanning from the 15th century at the Musee des Beaux-Arts; an old town which is home to the 17th century Cathedrale St-Pierre; and Rennes is also home to the former seat of the rebellious Breton parliament, Palais du Parlement de Bretagne – renovated in 2004 after being destroyed by fire started by demonstrating fishermen in 1994. The cultural centre of Rennes, Champs Libres, is home to many key sites of Breton history and culture including exhibitions, museums and cultural attractions.

Visa Information

Due to various external factors and an unprecedented demand for international travel, there are significant delays in visa processing, as well as very limited availability of application appointment slots for some countries and embassies.

We recommend that you take all appropriate steps to secure a visa as soon as practically possible, and to notify DMU Global if you face any issues. It is your responsibility to meet the entry requirements of the country you are travelling to. Failing to do so may mean that you’re liable for the costs incurred to the university (including repayment of the DMU Global bursary).
