Montpellier Business School – France

Montpellier Business School (MBS) is a private university located on the Mediterranean shore in Montpellier, France and was founded in 1897. There are approximately 3,600 students from nearly 80 different countries enrolled on courses at the university. MBS welcomes over 1,000 international students each year and offers students a multicultural environment and vast offer of courses in English.

MBS is one of the oldest management schools in Europe. University takes a unique approach in that it values sustainability and eco-responsibility. The themes of CSR and sustainable development are at the heart of our research activities and are taught transversally in all programs. MBS aims to train managers and entrepreneurs able to manage the financial, social, societal and environmental performance of their company.

Programmes of study

DMU’s exchange agreement with MBS allows students enrolled on the following programmes to study abroad:

  • Business and Law – all Business Studies programmes including International Marketing and Business with French.

Modules will be available in English and further information about the study options can be found here. Exchange students will be required to follow a full programme of study for the academic year based at MBS.


Travel & accommodation

  • Travel – the nearest major airport to MBS is Montpellier Mediterranean Airport . It is recommended to take a shuttle bus to your accommodation. For more information, please visit MBS webpage.
  • Accommodation – Montpellier Business School has its own online housing platform. It is accessible via the Ecampus platform or on the housing platform.

Visas & insurance

  • Visas – To take part in this exchange you are responsible for ensuring that you meet French immigration requirements.
  • Insurance – All students are recommended to purchase travel insurance for the duration of their time in Europe to cover personal possessions and healthcare. UK and EU nationals can apply for a UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) which is time-limited to the length of the exchange period.
