There is a wide variety of extra-curricular activities for exchange students, including a range of inexpensive clubs and student organisations they can join. ESN Oulu is perhaps the most important event organiser for exchange students. Annual ESN activities include a Valentine’s Day Party, a visit to world’s largest snow castle, skiing trips and many more. University of Oulu also provides Sport and Wellness services to all students, and this includes ballet, skydiving, cross-country skiing, rugby and many more.
