Eligibility
This opportunity is open to all DMU students. Students need to meet the eligibility criteria listed below:
- Available to start the placement on one of the following dates: placements start on 7 November, 21 November and 5 December. Other dates may be available, and can be agreed in cooperation with Think Pacific.
- Be able to commit to a minimum of 6-10 flexible hours per week (over a 12-16 week period).
DMU Global is offering 10 fully funded places (at a value of £350). Students will only be required to pay a £25 registration fee to Think Pacific upon being accepted.
About
Think Pacific is a registered Fijian Charity and UK social enterprise with over 10 years’ experience supporting Fijian Government Ministries, NGOs, local enterprises and business partners to achieve ethical, responsible and sustainable development, whilst allowing students to have a self-developing and rewarding experience.
All students need is a computer, phone and internet connection to take part in the virtual internship. You’ll be connected with real life projects supporting communities in the Fiji islands. As well as providing insightful mentoring, coaching and support to help them contribute to global issues and develop new skills.
Successful applicants will be able to choose from ten 10 career sectors including: Psychology, Health, Environment, Business, Marketing, Education, International Development, NGO Management, Sports Development, and Engineering.

Application
To be considered for a Think Pacific Virtual Internship you will need to apply to DMU Global. To submit your application, please, click the ‘Apply now’ button at the bottom of this page. We expect that this will be a competitive process, and recommend that students prepare their applications in advance and make specific reference to their motivations and the expected benefits from participating.
All successful applications will be informed by email on Monday 17 October 2022.
