About

Trip description

The purpose of this trip is to immerse DMU students into the learning culture of the University of Paris and to provide depth to their knowledge and understanding of business leadership and people management internationally. This will enable participants to identify comparisons between how business and HRM is exercised between the UK and France, including relationships with trade unions and employee representation.

As the University of Paris students that our students will be meeting in on this overseas experience are all employed in French organisations, the trip will provide networking opportunities and for students to enhance their knowledge of employability or postgraduate study. Our students will participate in a learning day at CIFFOP where they will be involved in group activities and whole class lectures with the students from Paris. The colleagues from the University of Paris: CIFFOP will organise speakers for the day from the world of business and people management. There is also a planned visit to the headquarters of CGT Union.
