Second and third year Accounting & Finance; Accounting & Business Management; Finance & investment and Economics students are eligible to participate in this opportunity. There is a maximum of 20 places available, with a minimum of 15 participants required for this opportunity to take place. Students are recommended to check the eligibility criteria before applying.

Trip description
The purpose of this trip is to provide Accounting, Finance, and Investment students with practical insights into finance, risk management, and investment through visits to leading institutions in Frankfurt, including the European Central Bank, Deutsche Börse, and Frankfurt School of Finance. By bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world experiences, the trip enhances students’ academic understanding, professional skills, and cultural awareness.
This trip aligns with the university’s strategic objectives by fostering graduate attributes such as adaptability, communication, and networking. It supports employability through direct interaction with industry professionals and alumni while encouraging resilience, independence, and cultural sensitivity through immersion in a global financial hub. The experience aims to prepare students for successful careers in finance and investment, promoting lifelong learning and personal growth.
Key activities of this trip include academic seminars at Frankfurt School of Management and Finance, engaging students with local faculty and peers to explore European markets and advanced risk management strategies. Students will visit prominent financial institutions such as the European Central Bank and Deutsche Börse, participating in workshops on market operations, trading systems, and liquidity management. Professional experiences include talks from industry experts at Deutsche Bank, providing insights into current global finance trends, along with networking events featuring DMU alumni based in Frankfurt.
