About
Trip description
Collaborating with Qatar University, students will have the opportunity to partake in learning sessions hosted by the university. This will include interactive patient assessment teaching, classroom teaching on current topics that students have already covered in year 2, but also touching on topics they will encounter in year 3. Students will visit community and hospital pharmacies in Qatar and draw the differences in pharmacy practice in the UK. Participants will be able to observe a range of different approaches to both learning in a university setting, but also practical pharmacy practice. This will also provide students with an enriched global experience that they can share with potential employers and utilise as part of applications to foundation training places outside of the Oriel process.
The estimated total cost for flights and accommodation for this trip to the Qatar is £1100. Students will be expected to pay the remaining amount after the £400 DMU Global bursary is deducted from the total.
