Travel & accommodation

  • Travel – Osnabrück is a well-connected city in north-west Germany. The nearest major airports include Frankfurt (FRA), Düsseldorf (DUS) Hanover (HAJ), and Amsterdam (AMS). From these airports or the Amsterdam Centraal train station, students can reach Osnabrück by train; the main station is Osnabrück Hauptbahnhof.   • Accommodation – Exchange students can apply for university managed housing through the Studierendenwerk Osnabrück. Rooms are typically furnished, and students may live in shared flats or single rooms depending on availability. Visas & insurance

  • Visas Visas – To take part in this exchange you are responsible for ensuring that you meet German immigration requirements.
  • Insurance – All students are recommended to purchase travel insurance for the duration of their time in Europe to cover personal possessions and healthcare. UK and EU nationals can apply for a UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) which is time-limited to the length of the exchange period.
