More than 100 years old, Comillas Pontifical University is a private Catholic University located in Madrid, Spain. It belongs to a network of more than 200 Jesuit universities in the world. The university combines a long history of experience in education, characterized by academic excellence and a humanistic tradition in teaching, with a constant desire for modernization, stimulated by constant social change.
Comillas is a well-known university in Spain, ranked among the best higher education institutions in the country for most of the programmes it offers. The university has a student population of approximately 15,000, including around 2,000 international students from 80 countries.
ICADE, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (where Law is taught) is situated in the central campus of Comillas and so has good transport links to the rest of the city. This allows students to study at the political, financial and cultural heart of the Spain.

Students can also choose to study the Diploma in Legal Studies, covering courses within the field of International Legal Studies as well as a course about cultural aspects of Spain and a Spanish language course.
Exchange students will be required to follow a full programme of study for the academic year based at Comillas Pontifical University.
Learn more about campus activities and events
Through Comillas Arte, students will be able to participate on cultural experiences (including debates, theatre, visual arts, music) etc. Activities and trips such as tapas tasting and visiting other Spanish cities are organised by UNITY Comillas for exchange students to learn more about the country and culture. The Comillas Charity Work/Volunteering Unit provides students with volunteering opportunities to collaborate with NGOs to create a more human, supportive and equitable world. Finally, the Sports Unit offers multiple sporting events in both individual and team settings and students can also sign up for the gym.
