Established in 1972, the University of North Florida (UNF) has grown significantly in size and prominence, now boasting over 16,000 students and 2000 staff. The campus includes a nature preserve, beautiful lakes and nature trails, is located between downtown Jacksonville and the Atlantic Ocean in a bustling section of Jacksonville.
The University is home to six colleges, and routinely ranks high for quality and value on national lists published by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes, the Princeton Review, Wall Street Journal and more. UNF holds the prestigious Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement recognizing our commitment to our community and beyond.

The Office of Campus Life fosters a welcoming and engaging environment for students outside the classroom. This carried out through designing student engagement opportunities within campus programs, personal interactions and intentional collaborations. They create different events for students’ such as Wow Variety Show, Block party, Dinner and Shows and so on.
The Department of Recreation and Wellness which focuses on optimizing the health and well-being for the UNF community, specifically by developing a greater appreciation of healthy living and by fostering physical, emotional and spiritual growth and development. The Student Wellness Complex is the largest fitness centre in northeast Florida that students’ can get access to and Intramural Sports is dedicated to provide students’ an opportunity to participate in athletic and non-athletic recreational activities in a fun and safe environment while promoting physical fitness, social interaction, and campus involvement.
