£1895 programme fee + £800 flights: the estimated cost for programme fee (incl. accommodation and flights (excluding any support). Students will also be required to pay for: UK and in-country transfers, visits, food and drink, visa (if applicable)

Additional Funding: £588 Turing Scheme Funding +£905 for flights (Total £1493)

Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided for students as part of the programme fee

Travel: Flights will be booked independently by students (est. £800)

How to pay

Payment details: Students will be required to pay £1202 as a contribution towards the programme fee and cost of travel after being offered a place on the trip. The DMU Global bursary will be deducted directly from the overall cost of the booking.

Eligibility

All undergraduate students are eligible to participate on this opportunity. To qualify for the DMU Global and Turing Scheme funding for this opportunity students need to meet at least one of these ‘Widening Participation‘ criteria.

 

After the initial application, students may be invited to a follow-up interview before formally being offered a place on this internship. There are a maximum of 10 places available. Students are recommended to check the eligibility criteria before applying.

 

Please note, that no DMU staff will be travelling with students as part of this opportunity, instead participants will be supported by Think Pacific and the host organisations in Thailand.

DMU Global in cooperation with our partner Think Pacific, are offering DMU students the chance to gain 4 weeks of unique work experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand in summer 2025.

Think Pacific’s Global Team Internship (GTI) has been designed to help students bridge the gap between university and graduate employment in a globalized workforce by combining unique work-experience with cultural immersion and a team-based adventure. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference; gaining hands-on experience in International Development and Global Business.
